Description
The HERMANN Brake Disc Lathe is automotive workshop equipment designed to machine and resurface worn brake discs (rotors). Depending on the model and configuration, it can machine brake discs while they remain mounted on the vehicle or after they have been removed.
The machine removes a controlled amount of material from the disc’s friction surfaces to correct certain surface irregularities, reduce disc thickness variation and improve surface finish. This can help address brake judder, vibration and braking noise when these symptoms are caused by correctable disc surface conditions.
HERMANN-branded machines include models such as the MA-2009 On/Off-Car Brake Lathe and the BL-202 On-Car and Off-Car Brake Lathe. Their specifications differ, so the exact model should be confirmed before purchasing.
